Synopsis: Molly Minstrel is treated worse than Cinderella by her mom and sisters. When Molly meets the magical creature, Unwanted, she wishes her problems away. However, you must first understand what you need before knowing what to ask for. Molly will have to look within for the solution to her troubles.

Review: The book is aimed at kids more of middle school age, so it was chapter reading for me and Kiddo. the chapters are short, 4-5 pages, so reading 1-2 per night is easy. Kiddo loves the tale of Cinderella, so I knew her attention would be kept, and it was! This is the second book of the Weaver series (the first was The Weaver), but it can stand alone. I was impressed that Kiddo made the analogy of the story to Brave and the Princess and the Frog (Disney movies) about wishing for something you think you want, but it not being exactly what you meant/need! The author has a way of weaving her tale and drawing the reader in, and young readers will be rapt and want to know more about what came before, and what will happen in the next booK! I highly recommend adding this to the list of presents for you kids for Christmas, it would be a great book to read together over vacation!

About the Author:
Kai Strand writes fiction for middle grade and young adult readers. Her debut novel, The
Weaver, was a finalist in the 2012 EPIC eBook Awards. She is a (very lucky) wife and
the mother of four amazing kids. The most common sound in her household is laughter.
The second most common is, "Do your dishes!" She and her family hike, geocache, and
canoe in beautiful Central Oregon, where they call home.
