It's been awhile since we've had a visit from The Dog House!

We were recently set a set of the new Rachel Ray Nutrish Naturally Delish
Wet Dog Foods to try.
(Well we should say for MARLEY to try! )

We generally give Marley dry dog food along with table scraps (that dog will just about kill for biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, proof that she was born Southern!), but as the Nutrish products are made with wholesome, simple ingredients like tender cuts of real meat and farm picked vegetables, I knew she'd probably like them. For dog parents, it's nice to know that they have no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives; no meat fillers or by-products, corn or wheat. AND Kiddo liked that they come in a resealable container with a plastic lid, which is great for storage of small kid found items and craft supplies! So they are a win-win for everybody, LOL.

There are four flavors in the Wet Food line:
1. Chicken Muttballs with Pasta: Which is chicken meatballs (muttballs) with tender carrots, spinach and pasta, cooked in a tasty chicken broth. This was the first one we opened and the cat went nutzoid, so we had to give her some before we took it out to Marley. Then the 'mutt' just about took the container out of my hand trying to get to it! By the time I had turned around and gotten to the gate, the 'mutt' had finished the Nutrish meal! AND was looking at me with the "you got more, right" addict look. So obviously it was a HUGE hit with her!

2. Hearty Beef Stew: We decided to alternate meats with chicken, so Marley got this one next. It has good size chunks of beef with garden vegetables (peas, carrots and potatoes), all simmered in a homestyle beef gravy. I have to admit, it smelled like homemade roast! Marley apparently thought it tasted like it as well, as it got devoured almost as quick as the Muttballs did!

3. Chicken Paw Pie: Another hit with the cat first! She just about attacked my leg til I gave her some! It has chicken chunks with a medley of green beans and sweet potatoes in a savory chicken gravy. Now Marley will eat just about anything, but the green beans did throw her for a FEW minutes. Then she realized they had chicken gravy (!!) on them, and they disappeared too!

4. Savory Lamb Stew: Definitely the third favorite, it has morsels of lamb mixed with carrots, spinach and brown rice (another love of Marley's) in a classic stew type gravy. Marley devoured it pretty quickly too!

We alternated giving her the wet food every other day to be careful of potential stomach problems, but she didn't have any. I;m sure because the products are all natural! She saw them as treats, and we agree, they would be perfect for a snack, or added treat for a larger dog. They average around $2 per package. For those with smaller dogs, they would be a full meal.

The Rachel Ray Nutrish line for dogs also includes the Just6 dry dog foods (which Marley has liked, but not as much as the wet food!), the Nutrsish dry dog food line, Soupo Bones (long lasting savory dog chews), Just6 dog treats, and Nutrish dog treats! Did you know that 100% of the proceeds from the Nutrish line go to help animals in need? Yup, they do! They provide food, medical supplies and treatments for dogs through Rachel's Rescue program. So you not only get healthy food for your dog when you buy her products, you help other dogs in need!

And you can go to the Nutrish website to get coupons, free samples and other special offers (like winning a trip to NYC) too!
