Looking for Teacher's Gifts can be exhausting, can't it?

You never know WHAT to get them that they don't already have! But I have a solution-how about buying something they can sue in their classrooms? Most teachers nowadays are having to supplement their teaching materials, due to low school budgets, so these items are always helpful!

Insight Books has a new series of kids books that are perfect for teachers, and kids!

The series pairs top-shelf author, Sheri Safran, with shining stars of art and design to inspire and delight children of all ages. With titles that entertain, educate, and kindle curiosity with meaningful text and illustrations, they are sure to delight children and adults alike!

  • All Kinds of Beliefs, by Sheri Safran, illustrations by Emma Damon: A celebration of religious diversity innovatively packaged with lift-up flaps and foldouts for hands-on enlightening fun. Kiddo really loved this book! Having been around different religions all my life, I want to make sure she has the same tolerance. The book does a great job in breaking down differences, where kids can understand them, and showing how faiths can be similar. We both liked the Religious Festivals poster provided in the back of the book that could be removed. It would be great for an elementary bible class to use, as would the book itself.
  • All Kinds of Fears, by Sheri Safran, illustrations by Emma Brownjohn: An instructive yet lighthearted interactive guide to help children recognize, confront, and overcome their fears. Aimed at kids from age 3 on up, this is an excellent book to discuss with kids about how it's ok to be afraid, that everyone is afraid of something sometime, and how to overcome those fears. I wish we would have had the book 2 years ago!
  • All Kinds of Feelings, by Sheri Safran, illustrations by Emma Brownjohn: From happy to sad, excited to bored, this delightful lift-the-flap book explores children's many moods and teaches them to recognize and trust their feelings and consider their reactions. This would be an excellent book for preschool and Kindergarten classes. In fact, it goes along with a curriculum that Kiddo's class learned at the beginning of the year to help them accept each other and their moods.
  • All Kinds of Festivals, by Sheri Safran, illustrations by Rachel Fuller: This vibrant lift-the-flap book explores and celebrates the world's myriad religions and cultural diversity. As my readers know, we love festivals, and are lucky to live in an area where we can expose Kiddo to many different culture via the festivals. This book does an excellent job at showcasing important festivals like Festival of the Dead, Cherry Blossom, and the Fetes des Masques. It has a great activity section in the back, perfect for teaching and exploring!
  • All Kinds of People, by Sheri Safran, illustrations by Emma Damon: A warm and humorous interactive exploration of the many shapes, sizes, and characteristics of humankind, celebrating what makes each of us special and unique. This is a partner book to the All Kinds of Feelings book- and would also be excellent for preschoolers!

Together this are an excellent series to help kids understand differences and more about themselves, and we highly recommend them all!
