Synopsis: Brent Michaels has been enjoying the good life. He's successful, he's good looking and he's well respected, but after a recent break up he finds his life has gone into a transition. Even his work has become a boring routine of corporate drudgery. He thinks he needs a change.
And change he gets. Contacted by David Baumann, an old friend of Brent's estranged and deceased father, he learns of the mysterious and urgent archeological search his father was engaged in at the time of his death. Baumann reveals to Brent the truth about the Scrolls of Darkness, satanic scripts written thousand of years ago and now being sought by the Sons of Darkness>, an organization under the control of manifest Evil.
Enter Melauni, the beautiful archeologist schooled in the area where the scrolls are hidden, and Brent and she team up to play a deadly game that begins in the streets of Paris, moves on to the beaches of Rio de Janiero and New Zealand and ends up in a showdown on a Middle Eastern desert with forces more malevolent than either of them could have imagined.
Review: This was a roller coaster read that takes you around the world and back again. The author solves enough of the puzzle to keep the reader happy, but leaves enough unanswered questions to have you begging for volume 2!It is a quick read (I finished it in 2 sittings) and a great read to get you interested in the Quamran scrolls and their history! I was surprised to find this was the author's first book, and I am really looking forward to the rest of the series!
