This week I'll be sharing some great ideas to bring Santa to your child/grandchild, both before Christmas morning, and on it! Up first is a new tradition, that is sure to make your Christmas morning a LOT more eventful!
The Christmas Web kit contains a storybook that tells a Christmas tale about how The Christmas Web came to be. The story describes how elves look over kids throughout the year and learn of their desired special holiday gifts. Three spools of yarn (magic wands) are provided with the gift set.
The yarn is used by the elves (parents) who create a web throughout the house - around window latches, chairs, doors and knobs - which ends in a closet or cabinet that hold the special gifts from the elves (mom or dad). On Christmas morning, a web is created for kids to have fun finding their special gift within the house. So every year kids will not only look forward to opening gifts, but also anxiously await finding their special gift at the end of the Christmas Web.

Review: I was very surprised at the quality of the kit! You definitely are getting something that will LAST for multiple generations! The wooden spools are sturdy, and the yard is of a higher quality. As long as you keep it in the container, and stored properly, it should last with no problem! The story book is excellent at describing what the elves do with the yarn, and how they come to be with Santa on his sleigh. Kiddo was entranced with it and loved the idea of having to search for her big present from Santa (she loves mazes). Course she didn't understand why there was no red yarn (her favorite color), until I explained most stockings were red, and red yarn would be overlooked. Then she got it! Course now she can't make up her mind which one to use (ah the perils of only having one child- decisions, decisions...). I can't wait to use The Christmas Web- I know Kiddo will love hunting down her special present from Santa!
AND if you register your wand on Christmasweb.com, Santa will send your child a special certificate of registration!
About: Developed by Kerry J. Grinkmeyer, The Christmas Web was inspired by the Grinkmeyer family tradition of hanging family Christmas
stockings on the mantel the day after Thanksgiving. In each stocking,
Mr. Grinkmeyer would insert a spool (Magic Wand) with 70 yards of yarn
wound around it. When his kids came out of their rooms on Christmas
morning, they found that the yards of yarn had been run throughout the
house, and they had to crawl under the yarn to
make their way to the mantel. He told his kids that Santa and his
elves hid special gifts at the end of the yarn and that they had to
unwind the yarn to find the gifts. 20 years later, this tradition was
passed down to their three grand-children. In 2011,
Mr. Grinkmeyer wrote the book Christmas Web to share his family tradition with the rest of the world.
