It wasn't so long ago that milk was delivered to your house via horse-drawn carts, carrying
large metal containers filled with milk. The driver would scoop some

Fast forward to today. We all know the rules- milk has to stay chilled, it's pastuerized, but not stable to stay out, or it will curdle and go bad, and watch that expiration date for the same reasons!
But what if there was a NEW rule? A new product that turns those milks rules upside down and UNLEASHES milk from the refrigerator?
There is!
A shelf safe, Grade A milk that doesn’t require refrigeration (until it’s opened_, that has no preservatives added, and comes in single-serving milk boxes (similar to juice boxes) and 32 oz. sizes, and that can be stored in the pantry for up to six months without refrigeration. It's called Milk Unleashed, but our family calls it YUMMY! In fact it tastes just a little bit creamier than refrigerated milk!
It is the SAME milk that comes from the cow- but it is handled differently:
As you can see, it is heated a much higher temperature, known as ultra-pasteurization) to eliminate bacteria and then put in tetra pak shelf safe containers, which protect it from air, light and other contaminants.And these packs are environmentally healthy too, as they are made from 70% paper (from harvested,regrown trees) and are recyclable! And because they require no refrigeration, they save energy! How about that? Good for you AND the environment!
Did you know the majority of milk sold in Europe is in shelf stable units? Yup, they've had it since the 1960s!
We were sent different brands to try out and without a doubt, every one of them has tastes JUST like the milk you buy in the refrigeration department of the grocery store! There is no yucky taste, or aftertaste. Even Kiddo LOVES the Strawberry milk (and she can be some picky when it comes to milk!)! And you'll be happy to note that the flavored varieties (strawberry, chocolate and even white chocolate!) are NOT made with high fructose corn syrup or artificial colorings! They are using natural sugar (lactose) which is easier on the body, all away around. So you can feel better about serving the shelf safe milk to your kids. AND they've devised a way so that the caffeine in the chocolate milk is between 2-7 mg (depends on brand), per serving, the equivalent of a cup of decaf coffee, and 5 times less than that of typical sodas.
