Know how you turn the corner in the Dollar store and a book catches your eye,
and you pick it up and have to read it?

Well this is the perfect case in point- I picked this one last year,
and put it on the giveaway shelf, but forgot to post it!

OOPS.

I just found it and thought "Hey perfeect for an early Spring giveaway!",
so her ya go!

Think of it as 'welcome to the weekend' from me to you-
GRIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Synopsis: Tour guide Mara MacDougall stops at a London antique shop-and spots the gorgeous medieval bed of her dreams. She buys it, despite nowhere to put it, and a shrinking bank account,  and a rude man who tried to stop her from buying the bed by saying  "The bed is mine, wench.", when no one but Mara could hear him. Just as she's about to leave London, she learns that a friend in the tourist business has left her a huge Scottish castle—IF she can make the place into a memorial to the MacDougall clan of Scotland. Then she bumps into the handsomest man ever. Soon Mara can't forget the irresistible-if haughty-Highlander.

Spectral Sir Alexander Douglas has hated the Clan MacDougall since he was a medieval knight and they tricked him into a curse-the curse of forever haunting the bed (the very one that Mara now owns) that was once intended for his would-be bride. But Mara makes him feel what no other MacDougall has-a passion that he never knew he'd missed.

ReviewA. It's a romance book. B. It's a paranormal romance book. C. You gotta just let go and enjoy the ride! This is NOT a book that takes even itself seriously- it is all very tongue in cheek! I laughed my way through the book in one sitting. And when I wasn't laughing, I was smiling! All the characters are funny and charming, and ones you would want to hang out with. Will mara get her inheritance? Not gonna ruin the ending for you- this is a fun story, with a very unexpected ending, making the perfect for lifting your mood from the doury winter doldrums!

About the Author : Allie Mackay is the pseudonym for Sue-Ellen Welfonder, an ex-flight attendant who now writes Scottish medieval romances. She is a card-carrying Scotophile whose burning wish to make frequent (free) trips to the land of her dreams led her to a twenty year career with the airlines. Bi-lingual, she flew international all those years, working her flights as foreign language speaker. Her flying career allowed her to see the world, but it was always to Scotland that she returned. Now a full-time writer, she's quick to admit that she much prefers wielding a pen to pushing tea and coffee. Proud of her own Hebridean ancestry, she belongs to two clan societies and never misses a chance to attend Highland Games. In addition to Scotland, her greatest passions are medieval history, the paranormal, and dogs. She never watches television, loves haggis, and writes at a four-hundred-and-fifty year old desk that once stood in a Bavarian castle.
