When you first start blogging, you are usually writing, and not thinking about a blog as being a business, or about how to get products for review and/or giveaways, how to optimize your blog for SEO, or even how to get paid to go to a blog conference!
But as time goes by, you realize there are a LOT of bloggers out there,
limited PR contacts and resources, and blogs that have a larger audience than yours.
So what do you do?
For me the answer came in a recommendation from another blogger:
I have been a member of Blog Friendly PR now for just at 3 years,
and I can readily say that without them, my blog would not be the success it is!
BFPR, as it is affectionately known, is made up of different forums, including Social Media, Giveaways, Blog Talk (design and assistance), campaigns, classified and even a forum to ask any question you need answered! Membership is FREE, with access to all the forums I just mentioned.
I primarily have had the basic membership over the years, and gotten some really great PR contacts from the Campaign forum! PR reps are generally lovely people and they value professionalism and great promotion of their product. Many of the reps I still work with, I found through a campaign off PFPR! Access to such great reps is priceless indeed.
As is access to the minds of other bloggers, who helped me figure out how to make my blog better for you, my lovely readers, and helped me promote my early giveaways and bonanzas. When I look back now, I realize I was like a bull in a china shop, rushing headlong into the blog promotion area, and many helpful bloggers from BFPR helped guide me along, so I could keep the blog going and be a success, with all of my efforts!
But if you want to go up to the top level of blog success, then you need to expand your blogger outreach by getting the BFPR Elite membership, which unlocks a superb part of the site, that includes a comprehensive list of PR Reps, Contact information, Pitches from PR, monetization (sponsored post) opportunities and more.
Why does it help so much?
Because when you want to say schedule a Spring Giveaway bonanza, you can go down that
PR list and contact all the PR reps with products you'd like to include. It's like having your own personal PR Yellow Pages! Plus, other bloggers will have commented on the good, bad and ugly- so you know who is super to work with, and who might be slow getting prizes out to your winners, for example! All things you really NEED to know as a blogger.
Many of the pitches are offered to Elite members BEFORE they are offered to the general list.
There may not be many slots open by the time that happens, so having early access may mean the difference between getting to review a product and reading someone else's review!. The same goes for the sponsored post forum. I've discovered many ways to monetize my blog from that one forum alone!
And when you break it down, it's only a tad over $4 a month. Pretty reasonable for all you get too!
Which is why I highly recommend to starting bloggers that they join BFPR for a couple of months, get familiar with the basics, introduce themselves, and their blog (like I did), and after you get your blogging feet under you and are ready to move forward, get the Elite membership. It helped me take my blog from a page rank of 2 to a 3 in not much time! And as we all know, page rank can still make a difference on what opportunities you can get for your blog!

So head on over and check them out, you won't be sorry you did-even if you've had your blog for a few years, the forums can really help you make your blog spectacular (Miss Grace's word of the week!)
and stand out above the rest!
