Synopsis: The newest offering in The Monastery Murders series, An Unholy Communion (Lion Fiction).

But her delight quickly turns to horror when a black-robed body hurtles over the precipice and lands at her feet. Her investigative instincts immediately kick in when she sees a double-headed snake emblem clutched in the lifeless hand. Was this suicide? Or murder?

Review: This is book 3 in the series (following A Very Private Grave and A Darkly Hidden Truth), and I can't wait to go back and read the previous two books! As you know I love historical novels, and this book is the perfect blend of history, religious history and mystery! The author did a LOT of research in bringing forth the religious and cultural history of Wales, and interlacing it into the story frame.I read this book in one sitting, which I had not planned to, but it was just SO much of a roller-coaster 'what is gonna happen next' read, that I did! The religious part is very well done, and it is very much a story of the battle of good and evil in modern society as well!

If you like historical fiction and mysteries, you might find yourself totally enchanted with this book and the characters!
