You think these faces above agree?
You have a suspect who has injured 254 people, killed 4, including a cop DOING his job (trying to stop said suspect), and somebody is worried that there wasn't a WARRANT issued to search every house. and that citizens had to come outside and keep their hands on their heads for THEIR and the officers' safety?
I sit here STUNNED that anyone thought an unknown suspect willing to MAIM AND KILL untold amounts of people in this neighborhood (remember NO ONE knew if he had more explosives) should have been sought after like he was a white collar criminal.
The entire Law Enforcement response showed considerable restraint and professionalism in their actions, trying to keep not only themselves, but the public SAFE during this search, and now people want to dog them out?
UH-UH folks.
You can't have it both ways- you can't expect law enforcement to ride in like the calvary and save you from every emergency you get yourself, or your family into, and then when it's someone else's family, say "oh they shouldn't have done that". EVERY freakin day law enforcement officers go to work, knowing they MIGHT not come home that day, because some RANDOM person decides THAT day he's taking somebody out, due to his twisted moral character. EVERY one of those officers on that search KNEW that was a very good possibility for them, yet they went and searched every one of those houses. They did NOT shirk their job duties, because it might kill them, they charged into the unknown, praying (to the God they choose) that they would walk out alive.
What is John Q Citizen had been confronted by said suspect in his house and shot him, to protect his young kids, also in the house. Would the liberals be screaming he should never had had a gun to protect his family from said suspect? Would he be sitting in jail right now because he 'illegally discharged a firearm inside the city limits'?
Would the public and the ACLU be tearing him to shreds right now? Probably.
Everybody wants to blame someone else, find fault, and tear the person(s) apart in the media, simply because THEY can. It is an epidemic that doesn't seem to have an end. Look at Reese Witherspoon- we all know what happens when you get drunk- you get stupid. She said the wrong thing and interferred and got arrested. She has PAID for her, and will have to do more(on her court date) actions already. So why drag her through the proverbial mud?
Because as a country, we THINK we have to know all and 'Monday Quarterback' every incident.
We don't. PERIOD.
We don't need to see the pictures of the blood flowing and limbs everywhere to KNOW how bad of a tragedy it was.
We need to be THANKFUL we have people who stepped into help, first responders that came to the scene, not knowing what was happening/going to happen, and be thankful that this is not a DAILY occurrence, as it is in some countries, and that we as a country STILL have more freedoms than others.
And some people will never KNOW those freedoms again................
This is a commentary post, and I was NOT compensated for it. Nor was I told what to say and opinions are my own. Your's may be different, I can voice them here, because of the freedoms we have.
