And now for a wonderful children's book that came in after Children' Book Week, or I would have shared it last week with you!
Synopsis: Written in verse, Hookity-Tookity-Tah is a wizard baker boy who uses his cooking magic to rid his town of a bullying dragon.
There's even a matching app for iPad!
Review: This was a very cute tale, and one that held Miss Grace's attention through out! After we read the book we had a long discussion about how the dragon bullied the town and how the wizard boy, Hookity Tookity Tah (of the title) was able to fool the dragon multiple times and finally win. The book is charming and Miss Grace loved looking at the very vivid illustration (see below) and finding other things in the background (like a lone strawberry and bunnies doing the mixing!) . It was a wonderful book and great for early readers, as the verse helps with rhyming and sounding out words. We highly recommend it!
