It's Norwegian Constitution Day!

Norwegian Constitution Day is the National Day of Norway,and an official national holiday observed on May 17 each year.

Among Norwegians, the day is referred to simply as syttende mai (meaning May Seventeenth), or Nasjonaldagen (The National Day). Check out this video from last year's Norwegian celebration:

This year is even more special, as our good friends, who are very active in their local Norwegian cultural center, sent Miss Grace her first bunad.

A bunad is the traditional dress of Norway. Many people still wear their's for their confirmation, and they are handed down from generation to generation, as many are elaborate in their beading and stitch work.
