Earlier this week, I told you about how this Father's Day, Oral B, the product you know and trust is believing in The Power of Dad!
Be it teaching a child to walk, say their first words, swing their first bat, ride their first bike, teaching them to swim, or just being there to wipe the tears of young heartbreak, Dads are the bastions of strength for kids. I am proud to be part of the Blogger Outreach sharing about this wonderful program!
It's hard for me to pick out a time when my Dad's smile was the brightest, biggest or most happiest for me, but I know this one is the one he probably would pick in his highlight reel:
The day we brought Miss Grace home
The biggest smile was earlier, but when she grabbed his cross and wouldn't let go, she not only grabbed his heart forever, she started a habit that she still does to this day, and she still brings a smile to our faces every day!

Thanks to Oral-Band the The Power of Dad promotion ( #powerofdad ), I am able to offer ONE lucky BTHM reader a wonderful gift for Dad: the Oral-B Deep Sweep TRIACTION 1000 power toothbrush!
The brand that pioneered the first modern electric toothbrush is now bringing you another groundbreaking way to clean: Oral-B’s revolutionary Deep Sweep technology.
Whereas other Oral-B power brushes are designed to emulate the motion of professional dental cleaning tools, the Deep Sweep mimics the brushing motion of a manual brush, but with the enhanced benefits of power. In fact, you can brush like usual and easily get up to 100% (two times) more plaque removal than a regular manual toothbrush. This brush also reduces gingivitis up to three times better than a regular manual toothbrush, reaches up to two times deeper between teeth, and removes four times more plaque along the gum line than a regular manual brush.
Power up the handle and the three specialized cleaning zones activate. The Power Tip reaches back teeth, shorter stationary bristles provide a thorough surface cleaning, and longer sweeping bristles penetrate deep between teeth, all for dynamic Triple Cleaning Action. The toothbrush comes with a charging station, and a fully charged Oral-B Deep Sweep 1000 lasts for up to seven days with regular use
Pretty good in my book!
I'll be giving you a review of the toothbrush later this month, but for now, you can see how much better it can clean your teeth, with it's advanced technology. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!

I am not sure what you mean by Power of Dad moment. But the pic brings to mind the day my son was born. My dad hates, Hates, HATES hospitals. Actually I think he is afraid of them. I have been in the hospital numerous times and he never came. But the day my son was born my dad showed up balloons and big blue dog plush toy in hand and a grin on his face. I will never forget it.
ReplyDeleteI'd call that a VERY huge Power of Grandpa (which is Dad to the 2nd power) moment!

My powder dad moment was when he was teaching me subtraction for the first time as a child and being ever so patient with me, who was just not grasping it. He stuck with it, until I fully understood it.

My power of dad moment was when my dad flew on an airplane, which he did not like, to come see my first child.
ReplyDeleteMy dad helped my husband build a raised veggie bed last year and we enjoy gardening in it.
ReplyDeleteMy power of dad moment was when my mother and father reunited and got back together after having been divorced over 25 years. I bought him a birthday cake and his eyes lit up. He said it was the first birthday cake that anyone had ever bought him. It felt good to have him back in my life and show him how much he meant to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks.

ReplyDeleteMy power of Dad moment was when he was teaching me to drive a car.
ReplyDeletemy power of Dad moment was when my Dad received his gifts of "pets" I'd bring him... 2 cats, a dog, 2 rabbits lol... he'd complain and complain about the extra work etc... but he loved his animals and they loved him. (I was constantly bringing him kittens, puppies, baby bunnies, animals other people didn't want but he took in anyways because he didn't want to see them at the shelter, he'd even feed the birds and had groups of deer out back that would visit in wintertime and it was amazing to see him interact with wildlife as well.) He is definitely missed, by the animals and us :(
ReplyDeletewhen my dad taught me how to ride my bike and I fell out and skinned my knee pretty bad, and he convinced me to try again
ReplyDeleteRecently, I was struggling in an area in my life and I gave up after months of trying but my dad never gave up. He kept trying, persevering and knocking doors for me even when I gave up hope and made a way for me! All through God’s grace! I learned the meaning of perseverance from him. That’s his #power!
