Coast Guard officer Curtis Ireland has lost a sibling too. His sister, Gina, was run down by a boat, leaving him to raise her infant daughter. If anyone knew who little Raine's father was, Curtis could lose his beloved niece. Yet he can't help being drawn to Hope Beach's new midwife, Amy. He even agrees to help her investigate what happened to both Ben and Gina.
Can two grieving people with secrets find healing on beautiful Hope Island? Or will their quest for truth set them at odds with each other . . . and with those who will go to any length to keep hidden things hidden?
Review: Continuing the Hope Island series that she started with Tidewater Inn (which I absolutely adored!). It was interesting to see the characters from that book back and what had happened to them in the intervening time. With the addition of new characters in this book, the Hope Beach area is filling out and as always Cobble gives you enough twists and turns to make this an absolute page turner! I finished it in two sittings ONLY because I had to! Her books always leave you breathless and wanting more, and this book is no exception! It's a lovely Summer read, full of Summer memories and friendship! Pick it up and you will love the series as much as I do!
