For out first usage, I used it on a pork roast that I did in a roasting bag with carrots. VERY yummy! (I also forgot to take a picture!). The spice mix is perfect on meat! I wanted to try something else, and as it is Summer, I chose to make a dip for the holiday this week with this spice mix! As you can see it looks totally yummy, and it was! Sort of a combination of onion and vegetable dip.It was great with both veggies and chips! We love this mixture- it contains the spices we generally cook with, and as it is in a larger container, it is economical as well!
Both this mix and the next one can be used to make vinaigrettes and dressings with just adding wine or balsamic vinegars, honey, oil lemon juice and/or dijon mustard. The recipes are included on the labels, for easy remembering on how to make them! With 4 recipes, you can vary which one you make! Here's the Balsamic Vinegar one:
BALSAMIC DRESSING: 2 Tbsp. dressing mix. 1/4 cup vinegar, 2 Tbsp. Balsamic vinegar, 2/3 cup oil. Blend together and serve!
Napa Garden Spice:
Homemade Dressings Napa Garden is a blend of herbs and spices, including basil, oregano, garlic, tomato powder, parsley and sea salt, that bring out the wonderful flavors found in Italian cooking. Use with your favorite ingredients to make salad dressings, marinades, dry rub and more. When making tomato sauce from scratch, this is the perfect spice mix to use, as it has all your needed ingredients and is not too heavy on the basil! It's also great for spicing up a morning omelet, or using over pasta by tossing with a little butter and hot pasta!
And now for the proverbial, something different!
GimMe Organic Roasted Seaweed Snacks Sesame
"Gim" means "roasted seaweed in Korean, and that's exactly what this bag is- roasted seaweed pieces with sesame. they have an almost garlicky flavor to them, making them perfect for topping a casserole, putting in an omelet or topping a salad or stir fry with. Some people snack on them, but I found the flavor a little strong for just snacking on!
