Synopsis: What happens if we pull John's Gospel out from the shadow of the other three, and grant John a mind of his own?
What will he have to say? Why does this gospel deviate so drastically from the theology of the others?
Could this really be the reminiscing of an original apostle, sixty years after the death of Jesus? Were Christians finally being made privy to the direct teachings and miracles of the Son of God?

I guarantee, you've never read John's Gospel like this before!
Review: An excellent book for the reader that has ever wished that they could go back in time and walk and talk with someone in the past. Lee Harmon has done just that for you and me. It has always been my desire to be able to sit and talk with St. John the Apostle. Although this book is based on fiction, the complete book of St. John the Apostle, the fourth book of the Gospels is dispersed throughout this book, as he speaks to a pair of fictional characters, Mathew and Martha.
As St. John speaks to his companions just after his required stay on the island of Patmos, he delves into the reasons for his writing the fourth Gospel. They talk of many important items, their agreement on one item and then complete disagreement on another. This book takes place late in the life of John, as witnessed by his constant laying on a rooftop on a pallet of bedding where it is much cooler in the evening hours. This book will make you think that you are with them in every conversation. Read and see the author’s ideas he believes are why John wrote what he did. This book makes for a good read. Test your ideas and beliefs against the author’s ideas and beliefs. I think you will enjoy “John’s Gospel: The Way It Happened” as much as I have. God Bless.
