It's almost Fall and we've started school, so you know what that means:
FOOTBALL in the SOUTH!
And yes, we take Football VERY seriously, ok? Just let it go and deal-
we MAKE pro-footballers down here in the SEC land!
Miss Grace has already been to her first football game this year at school, supporting the boys,
so I knew that everyone would love watching a new movie about High School football, family and faith,
that was recently released: Season of a Lifetime!
The film tells the inspiring story of head football coach, Jeremy Williams, who, terminally ill with the ALS (commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease) refuses to retire, deciding to coach for one last season. Rick Cohen's cameras follow him as his resilient Greenville Patriots high school team battles a tough Region 4 schedule in their quest for the Georgia State Championship. A father figure to his underprivileged players, Coach Williams is also a loving husband to his high school sweetheart, and a loving father to two kids, one who is stricken with a debilitating disease. Family and faith are the driving inspirations that enable Coach Williams to strive toward the impossible, making it truly a Season of a Lifetime.
Check out the movie trailer:

The Atlanta Journal Constitution recently asked Williams what he hoped the film would show. He responded, “That when things get tough, you can be tough and still love.” Williams’ wife Jennifer added, “I really hope that people see that, no matter what they might face in life, that through Christ, they can not only get through it but also live a happy, joyful life.”
"In all my years of documenting lives and writing and researching about real people, I never met a man who didn't have a single enemy nor a cross word said about him,” said Cohen. “Jeremy is about as righteous a human being as God has ever put on this earth. He truly walks the talk!”
I love to watch these inspirational type movies with a good message. I will have to get this one.
