Evenflo as the RIGHT Car Seat No Matter What YOUR Needs this back to School Season!

Back to School time is here, and you've bought all the needed school supplies,uniforms and extracurricular needs, but have you addressed your child's car seat or booster needs?

Getting the right fitting seat for your child, and for your car, is not an easy task.if it was, we wouldn't be having such public awareness features, as this!

In fact, I'll be speaking with a local car seat fit expert later today (in a second post- which I urge EVERYONE to read!), to bring you more needed info on car seat safety!

Sadly, even very well informed parents can get this part of their child's safety very WRONG. Just check out the infographic to the left. Kids GROW over the Summer, and their car seats may no longer fit them in height, even though they are under the weight allowance. Younger kids may be turned forward facing to soon,or placed in the wrong type of seat. Older kids may not really be ready for just a seatbelt like they THINK they are.

In our own family, we had 2 cousins who suffered severe injuries in a very bad car wreck merely 2 months ago, who just got to come home from the hospital this week. had they not been in the proper car seats, the outcome could have been tragic indeed! So our family is BEYOND conscious about car seat safety! You could say it has long been a personal pet peeve of mine, as well

According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the lives of more than 8,300 children under age 5 have been saved by using child restraints properly.  Since road injuries are the leading cause of preventable deaths and injuries to children in the United States, Evenflo is urging all parents to make sure they take the safe road when it comes to car seat installation. Child safety seats that are used correctly can reduce the risk of death by as much as 71 percent according to SafeKids.org. 

We all know that installing car eats can be a pain, but the extra 15 minutes it takes can literally save your child's life! Evenflo is making installation super easy with their new car seats connectors, such as the one in their Symphony All in One Car Seat , pictured on the right. With its SureLATCH Connectors, parents just need to Click, Click, Push, for super-fast, super-snug installation in less than 60 seconds. 

This All-In-One seat accommodates children ranging from 5-110 lbs, has been designed and tested for structural integrity at energy levels approximately 2X the federal crash test standard, and has their superior e3 Side Impact protection foam! It even has a 65 lb. harness weight rating to accommodates growing children longer, especially for rear facing children! The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) has named it a Best Bet , as it provides good lap and shoulder belt fit for typical 4 to 8 year-olds in almost any car, minivan or SUV, via its.Infinite Slide Harness, that easily slides up(or down) for an accurate fit every time. Already outgrown an all-in one? 

Even older kids need continued safety and comfort, and the Evenflo RightFit Booster Car Seat  offers a 2-in-1 design that allows kids to transition from a high-back booster seat to a no-back booster. It is for kids at least 4 years of age,between 30 - 110 lbs. and 38" - 57" when used with the backrest and between 40 - 110 lbs. and 40" - 57" when used without the backrest, Why is this so important? Because parents frequently move their children OUT of car seats and boosters WAY too early.Dd you know that car seat belts are aimed at children aged 12 and up? TOO many kids between the ages of 6 and 12 are greatly endangered by NOT riding in a booster, at minimum!

Miss Grace is at the topmost level in it, and has about aninch and a hlaf, before she is technically too tall for it,but it will be fine until we can get the Rightfit in.This harnessed booster features an innovative headrest design that allows the vehicle belt to self-adjust to your child's height while in booster mode. Enhanced side walls and head support provide comfort and safety for the child. 

The seat accommodates children from 1 yr old, 22 - 40 lbs,. 22 - 40 lbs in the 5 point harness, and 4 years of age, 40 - 110 lbs, 43.3 - 57 inches in the booster (using car seat belt).

Like the other models, it has been designed and tested for structural integrity at energy levels approximately 2X the federal crash test standard. Things that we really liked are the simple adjustability with the upfront harness fitting and it's 2 crotch buckle positions, making it easy to adjust for older children, still in the harness. The removable head pillow that maximizes child's comfort, is also easy to remove- as it is just a velcro attachment (which means it can be cleaned easily as well! PLUS!), see right pix!

The only issue we had with the seat was the tntegrated cup holders- we had to take off the door side one, as with it on, it was to hard for Miss Grace to get in and out of the car (especially at car line time!), due to the front seat being back in it's normal position, and not having a lot of legroom!. But as you install them yourself onto the seat, it was no big deal. And as we discovered, it can easily be tucked into the side, until needed, then popped in, for use for snacks and light weight items.She just keeps her drink in the other holder which is firmly affixed under the seat. 

As you can see below, Miss grace loves her new car seat, "it's more comfy and I can see out of it better"- you know the important things to a 6 yr old!

We have had our share of car seats over the past 6 years- I think I lost count at 9-, and these new seats from Evenflo are not only safe, they are budget savvy, and can easily be passed from one child to another, as they get outgrown, but are still quite usable. If you pick any of these featured car seat options, you'll have peace of mind knowing yours kids are safe and secure, if a collision does occur. And that is priceless indeed!
