But with Fall, we all want comfort foods, and they need a little more time to prepare, so if you have a kitchen helper than can so everything you need, in ONE appliance, you know it can help SAVE you time in the kitchen!
I was recently happy to be able to try out such a wonderful device- the MiTutto Immersion Blender!
The Miallegro MiTutto Immersion Blender set comes with everything you see here:
The main device, 2 attachments (one that is used for the 4 included blades, the other a whisk), a blade remover tool that while save you from cutting your hand while removing the blades), a mixing/pouring cup, a chopping bowl and even a wall mount holder!
The MiTutto may be compact but it has 500w of power (which you can adjust to the need at hand) and can easily blend, whip, grind, puree, beat, and mince just about anything. The professional style is easy to store, even if you don't use the included wall mount, and the 5-foot cord gives you room to move around the kitchen, and into big pots!
Literally the DAY the MiTutto arrived, we were making a large batch (ie crawfish pot size) of bone marrow soup, that Miss Grace is having to eat everyday (more on that next week, when our Adventures in Gluten-Free/ Remineralizing chapters begin). using the chopper, we were able to quickly, and easily, chop the onions and peppers for the soup in mere seconds! I love that you can use the chopper for garlic, tomatoes, spices and vegetables with ease, with no odors (or crying) because they are contained in an enclosed bowl! Mom, quite literally, made a month's worth of soup in one very large batch! I knew I wanted to stretch it out a bit, AND make it more palatable for daily eating, so I grabbed the MiTutto blender again with the blender blade attached and blended the soup. the MiTutto worked like a CHAMP, breaking up the veggies and meat with ease, and then by swapping blades (made SUPER easy with the blade removal tool) pureed the soup, all being done IN the LARGE pot! Seriously, I would have had to use 2/3 more pots and bowls, if I hadn't been able to use the blender IN the pot! It was too hard to take pix while holding onto pot and blender, but as you can see in the photo on the left, the blender really did it's job, in turning the broth type soup into a creamy, yummy one! And yes, Miss Grace LOVES the resulting soup! best yet? The clean up- rinse with hot water, after soaking in soapy water for about 2 minutes! you can't get any easier than that!
Another key feature of the Miallegro MiTutto Imersion Blender is handy included whisk! By using the blender attachment and then the whisk, I was able to quickly turns a banana, berries and milk, in the included pour into a yummy, healthy smoothie for Miss Grace in a matter of mere minutes!And yes, she does LOVE her smoothies- the look was because she wasn't too sure about the taste initially!
We've since tried other combinations (like sneaking in spinach and other greens), using kefir instead of the milk, and she doesn't know any different! Anything that can help me make her a HEALTHY snack in less than 3 minutes, with just about zero cleanup is a huge plus for me! I love not having to take apart a blender (I always seem to cut my hand on the blades, I don't know about you, when I do), and being able to throw the whisk and mixing cup in the dishwasher! Easy Peasy!
