Review:
What is commitment? When the ties that bind are broken, can love survive?
Which is worse the loss of fidelity, or the loss of a best friend's honesty?
That is the kernel of the story that winds the reader up into the lives of Alice and Georgia, told in flashbacks, from the moment when Georgia leaves her much wanted second child at the hospital, post delivery. The story makes the reader understand and answer the above questions. While I wasn't fond of the back and forth, time not consistent, by chapters, I understood why the author wrote the book that way, and by doing so it mirrors the emotions of the characters. This might be a hard read for some, as there are so many issues addressed in the book, but it's a wonderful read about the truths of friendship and relationships. Call it reality fiction if you might, but it's an interesting read!
