Last month I shared a great desert recipe with you Chocolate Applesauce Muffins, made with Pompeian Olive Oil, and today I want to introduce you to their new product, Grapeseed Oil!
Never heard of Grapeseed Oil?
- Grapeseed oil contains almost twice as much Vitamin E, and antioxidants, as olive oil.
- Grapeseed oil has 0 trans fats!
- Grapeseed oil has the highest concentration of omega-6 polyunsaturated fat of any oil
- Grapeseed oil has NO cholesterol and very little saturated fat!
Pompeian imports 100% of its Grapeseed Oil from France, and it gas a very light flavor, helping to preserve the flavor of food you are making! AND it’s perfect for stir frying, deep frying, sautéing and baking, due to it's HIGH smoke point!.
AND the new Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray bottle has 3 ways to use it! The new finger press trigger can produce a tradition spray, a drip and a atream! So no matter what your needs, it can take care of it! And the bottle has NBO CFCs or propellants- it is strictly all-natural grapeseed oil! Check out the video below:
1 Carrot Cake mix
1 apple
1 cup pecans in shell
1 pack of flaxseed mix
olive oil
3 eggs
water
grapeseed oil spray
The flaxseed pack also has pumpkin seeds and goji berries. What that means is we're making a super HEALTHY cake! LOL, ok, so sorta healthy....
Then we used the Pompeian grapeseed oil spray to coat our fluted cake pan!
Then we let Miss Grace chop the apple with HER chopping knife, and then chop the pecans, using ye old nut grinder! Miss Grace is getting to be quite the sous chef! And then she started mixing everything together! I used 2/3 olive oil and 1/3 Pompeian grapeseed oil spray, using the drip of the spray bottle. The Pompeian grapeseed oil has a slight nutty flavor, so I knew it would taste great in the cake!
And off it went to the oven!
A simple buttercream glaze and lots and lots of Thanksgiving sprinkles and we have a lovely looking cake, that would be suitable to take to ANY holiday event, and made from items in your pantry!
Look at the yummy moistness!
I've got not one but TWO bonuses for you as well!
I use Pompeian oil, and love it! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
