If you have wrist pain, then you know using the keyboard for any amount of time, or doing fine  motor skills while crafting, can really aggravate your tendinitis, carpal tunnel (did you know over 8 million Americans suffer from it alone?) or RSI.

I am happy to report that I have found a solution, that needs to be on YOUR personal holiday gift list, and for all those friends and family members, who could use them too!

MouseMitt International was founded in 1991 by Tana and Alfred C. Brinnand. Our purpose was to share with others an effective solution for wrist pain—a support glove you could actually wear while you work. MouseMitt earned the MIT Inventor of the Week Award for its ingenious and comfortable design, which is based on doctor and physical therapists advice!

The Mitts come in 2 different versions:

mousemitt keyboarders

I was sent The Keyboarders for review- Get doctor-approved relief for wrist pain. Comfortable, stretchy, slip-on fingerless mitts let you 'keyboard' and 'mouse' in comfort, relieving painful nerve pressure. The built-in pad cushions the wrist, and disperses the weight of the resting hand. No more stiff, awkward braces—work comfortably and safe with keyboarders.I was sent both left and right, but it's hard to take a picture while using them both, so I decided to show you 2 different positions, so you could see how the Mitt moves WITH your hand! They help to keep your wrists in a neutral position, to alleviate any pain from beginning, and keep them warm, while not impeding any range of motion! That my dear readers is a recipe for success!

I have always done a LOT of hand work- be it cross stitch, crewel, sewing, painting, etc, and when I started doing a lot of keyboarding for my job eons ago, tendinitis was the result. Seriously, my doctor likened it to 'tennis wrist', I was using my right wrist SO much! What I have found is that my hands get cold the more that I use my wrists, and that sensation is pretty much a precursor to wrist pain, which makes since as the circulation gets impeded when the wrist is not in a neutral position.. I have tried every soft and hard brace on the market to relieve the pain and none of them have worked as well as these Mouse Mitts. PERIOD. I was really astounded at the simple design, it how well they worked! I found I could type steady with them on- no having to take breaks, either! Woo hoo!

I tried the Mitts while sewing and found them just as 'handy', pun intended!

The mitts come in 5 sizes- you measure by your wrist size to get a comfortable fit. And they come in different colors, so you can get the pair (or single) that matches your personality! Best part? You can wash them by hand and line dry, so they are are always fresh!

mousemitt soft splints

The other product is Soft Splints: Made with stretch fleece and the cotton spandex, these Soft Splints retain body heat, keeping the hand and fingers cozy. The tips of the finger are open to promote manual dexterity. The built-in pad stabilizes the wrist, and disperses the weight of the hand when it rests on the work surface.
SoftSplints are designed for people who want their hands and fingers to be extra warm, but still need to work with support.
If you need more warmth to your hands, then these are so much better than just wearing fingerless gloves (which I've done in the past to try to keep my hands warm!). The pad and fabric really help to make a difference, that can NOT be beat! These Splints are available in 3 hand sizes and in black color only.
MouseMitts are still made right here in the USA, and with their 30 day money back guarantee, a product you can be proud to purchase and give as gifts!
Trust me, once you wear a pair, you won't want to type or craft without them!

  1. I have never seen this before, I send so many hours a day on the computer and sometimes my wrist does bother me. Sounds like this might help me.
