Since this blog has been around, we've been great supporters of World Vision and how they help people around the world, through life sustaining gifts, like animals. One of our favorite companies, Big Idea Entertainment (aka VeggieTales) is also a huge supporter!

Never heard of them?

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice, since 1950.

World Vision works in nearly 100 countries, serving all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. They provide emergency assistance to children and families affected by natural disasters and civil conflict, work with communities to develop long-term solutions to alleviate poverty, and advocate for justice on behalf of the poor.

One of the many ways in which you can help World Vision, is by purchasing gifts from their World Vision Gift Catalog, financing micro loans, corporate gifts, or by supporting a child.

Through the catalog you can also provide life giving gifts, like goats and ducks, deep water wells and even education for girls! Or you can purchase items, whose production was financed by the Micro Loans, and if you provide the info on them to the recipient, tend to produce a domino effect- the recipient in turns buys something from  the World Vision Gift Catalog, or the life giving items!
Check out how it works:

Products in the catalog include gifts for kids, like plush animals, for women, like woven purses, for the home, like a beaded ornament set or a cinnamon box! And then there is the jewelry that will delight anyone who receives it!

world vision zakale bracelet set

We were sent this lovely Zakale bracelet and earring set from Nairobi. Zakale crafts are made from recycled materials by Kenyan artisans, who received a loan from World Vision to grow their business and lift themselves out of poverty. The bracelet is 8" long, the earrings 2" long. Each is unique - size and color may vary slightly. Check out the gorgeous colors! I always get compliments and questions when I wear it!

World Visions wants to share the love with a lucky BTHM reader,
by giving one of you the SAME Zakale bracelet and earring set, we were sent to review!
