A Parody for Modern Parents
In the great green-certified room
There was a smart phone
And a silver spoon
And a picture of—
A high-contrast, brain-stimulating black-and-white moon
And there was a musical concert by Baby Mozart
And high window Guards
And French Flash Cards…
Synopsis:
A hilarious parody of the beloved children’s book classic Goodnight Moon. This witty and charming book skewers the culture of modern over-active parenting with sardonic commentary on the parents who have turned raising children into a competition, complete with Baby Einstein DVDs, toddler tutors, and, of course, nanny-cams.
Review:
This book will have you laughing and pointing out friends and family members that each page reminds you of! It is very tongue-in-cheek, and perfect for giving as a gift to remind new parents-to-be, to not get so caught up in the one up-manship and stresses of keeping their kids at the top of the pile!
It's also a great gift to give to parents-to-be of third kids, as most of them will be laughing at themselves in the book, and saying "Nope, not gonna happen this time!". The illustrations are bright and cheerful and this is a great gift book!
