Tom & Jerry intro 4

Review:
This DVD set is about 3 hours long! Miss Grace isn't allowed to watch that much at one time, but with our 'snow' days last week, I was thrilled to have this new DVD to keep her occupied at time! She LOVES Tom & Jerry, and their hilarious antics. I love that they don't seem 'old fashioned' to her, although obviously some of them are, due to their age. The issues dealt with are 'safe'- there are no inappropriate aged references, and I know I don't have to be sitting with her to hit the pause button! If you're looking for a great DVD set to have on hand for when the 'I'm boreds" hit, this is the one to get!

About Tom & Jerry:
Originally created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, in 1940 (that's the original title graphic above!) Tom and Jerry emerged during Hollywood’s golden age of animation and became one of the most popular cartoon series in existence. They conceived and directed the shorts for 18 years for MGM Studios! In fact, the original series is notable for having won seven Academy Awards, tying with Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies as the theatrical animated series with the most Oscars! Who knew? After Churck Jones directed the shorts for a few years in the 1960s, Hanna Barbera studios came back in the 1970s with hit television series.
