How about by NOT having to struggle with opening the cork on your wine bottle?
Or being able to get a bottle of wine WITH a cork (I know some of you lean toward the box type- no put down, I know it's easier for ya)?
Or even, how about NOT having to HUNT for the wine opener to begin with?
You know it's hidden in the back of the drawer- don't lie!
The Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener ,in Stainless Steel with Auto Activation, was inspired by a vision for effortless operation in wine opening. It is perfect for those who have a hard time getting a cork removed from a bottle, who have wrist problems, and for the older folks who have a hard time gripping the cork remover anymore! opens both natural and synthetic corks. And because it comes from Ozeri, a company you can trust to have quality, durable items to fit every need you have (and whose products we have reviewed many times here on BTHM).
Due to our pantry, aka the wine cooler (seriously the floor stays about 60 degrees year round), being in the middle of renovation, and my having gone through the wine that was left due to said renovation, I passed the Ozeri on to a friend, who loves wine, to review it for us!

If you have a modern kitchen, the Ozeri Extravo will fit right in- I liked it's stainless steel design, and how everything is included in it's compact design, that you need. It's small enough to fit in a drawer, but it's sleek enough that you will probably leave it out on the counter.
The Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener comes with full instructions, but I didn't need to use them, as the process was shown on the outside of the box, so it was easy to figure out (he's male, they never read instructions, right? LOL).
The Ozeri Extravo has a rechargeable base, and when you're ready to use it, you remove the charger, and take it apart to use it. The cordless design makes it really easy to use too. The Ozeri Extravo base is actually a compact foil cutter, which as you can see from the pictures below, that is super simple to use. You just remove the base from the charger, remove the Extravo cylinder, and then place the base over your foil and turn. Super easy and quick!
Next the Ozeri Extravo makes quick use of the cork in one of 2 ways- you can use the button on the top of the Extravo to start the process (see third picture below), or you can start the Extravo's auto-activation process by merely placing it over your cork and pushing down on the cork- it takes it from there.
As you can see, it automatically takes the corkscrew down into the cork, twists and pulls it up, into the Extravo unit- no broken pieces, and NO struggling to get the cork out- it is ALL automatic!
Now your wine can breathe, while you hastily remove the cork from your Ozeri Extravo!
To remove the cork from your Ozeri Extravo, all you have to do it press the top button. That's it! The Extravo automatically activates a reverse spin, and the cork is automatically ejected within seconds from the Extravo cylinder! And as you can see, it comes out in one piece- perfect for those who like to save their corks! It's interesting to watch the process too!
The Ozeri Extravo also comes with a wine pourer and stopper. You place it into your bottle top- it just slides in-twisting a cork stopper in! The included cork has a wire handle, that you use to pull out, when you are ready to pour. The pourer really helps to keep a consistent pour as well. I like how you don't have to mess with a wine stopper or the original cork, and that by keeping the pourer with the Extravo, there is no hunting around for a stopper either- everything you need for wine bottle opening, is all in one handy place!
The Ozeri Extravo's built-in rechargeable battery is supposed to open up to 60 wine bottles on a single charge. That's pretty impressive, and great if you're having a party- no worrying about putting it back on it's base to recharge between opening bottles. And because it is cordless, you can take it outside to the party, and not have to stay in opening bottles!
I have to admit, the blue lights on the Ozeri Extravo are really cool - check out the picture above for when it is recharging. They also come on while using the Extravo (but they didn't photograph well above).
In conclusion, I really like this Ozeri Extravo- it's easy to use, quick and efficient, and pretty effortless!
