Now for a lovely book that is perfect for all kids, but especially lovely for kids who are adopted, to know just how special they have made their parent's life!

Along Came You cover

Synopsis:
What happens when the pleasures of a tidy, carefully decorated home are traded for the excitement of high chairs and noisy toys? When quiet evenings and carefully planned schedules are traded for busy days and crazy nights? What happens when the desire to experience joy is replaced with the desire that another would experience joy? Karona Drummond weaves images of life before kids with life after kids. Children will delight in this love song written to them about the joyful change they bring about and how the loving sacrifices of their parents transform a simple life into an abundant life. This book is a truly a touching glimpse and a warm reminder of the parent heart of God.

Review:

As I said above, this book would be great to give to an adoptive or foster child, as the child is older in this story, say preschool age, so it take away the questions about when they were babies, or when they were born. Instead it focus on the changes the child brought to the parent's life, and what a joy that has been. It is also great for single mothers of little girls, as the story only shows the mother and daughter, so it could be a great way to show a child going through divorce/without a father, that life can be fine with just mom!

Miss Grace adord the book and asked lots of questions like "how was the house decorated before all her toys came?". It is a wonderful book to snuggle up with and read together! The illustrations are bight and draw kids and parents alike to the book. We highly recommend it!
