How do YOU Untangle Wet Hair? We Use the Wet Brush! (Product Review and Giveaway)

Disclosure / Disclaimer:  I participated in this event on behalf of Wendy's Bloggers for The Wet Brush. I received Wet Brush products to facilitate my review. No other compensation, monetary or in kind, has been received or implied for this post. Nor was I told how to post about it.

Summer is here ( I know, you can start screaming now), and you KNOW what that means!

Yes, screaming kids and no time for yourself,
but I was actually talking about WET hair!

You know, from the pool, river, beach, creek, etc.
Is your 'free from school' child going to LET you sit and comb out their hair for 15-20 minutes?

Nope!
Which is why The Wet Brush - the healthy detangling hairbrush - is YOUR solution for some easy peasy hair care this Summer! There is a reason it is the best selling hairbrush in the U.S (over 3.5 million of 'em sold in 2013 alone)! With its famous “IntelliFlex bristles,” it’s a product that has set a milestone in haircare. Check it out:

the wet brush bristles

The bristles’ flexibility enables protective and pain-free detangling. They are firm enough to comb through knots, yet flexible enough to be gentle on the scalp (though not on ears, as Miss Grace can ascertain, if she moves when I'm brushing! LOL). The tips of the bristles even massage the scalp to circulate blood flow! Which actually HELPS promote hair growth- which means it is great for women and children of all ages

If you have a daughter with long hair, you NEED this brush! It will take all the trauma out of daily brushing! No more screaming while trying to remove knotted tangled hair while trying to get your daughter to school on time in the mornings! Now my daughter can't WAIT to brush her hair, and we can be totally finished fixing her hair in 5 minutes in the morning! Trust me this was a HUGE change, as it used to take us 15-20 minutes, easily!
Our go-to brush in the mornings and evening (post bath/shower- eek she's taking showers already, where ID my baby go????) is The Wet Brush Classic. It is sized like a typical hairbrush, and with the large bristle area, quickly covers a large area, allowing for shorter brush times! Check out a before and after, from a typical morning:

Miss Grace went to bed with a wet head the night before- if your daughter has long hair, you know what that means- tangle city! Normally, before The Wet Brush, I would have had to take a regular hairbrush to her head, then a detangling comb, before I could even think about styling her hair. That meant at least a 10 minute morning detangling hair routine, with another 5-10 for styling!  But thanks to The Wet Brush, that routine has been reduced to 5-10 minutes. PERIOD. Even with braiding! You have no idea (well, maybe you do!) how much stress is literally GONE from our morning routine now! My child seemed to be totally different in ONE morning because of this brush!

A wonderful new addition to The Wet Brush line is their new Paddle Brush
As you can see the bristle area is much bigger than the Classic brush and it is made more for wet hair! I shared the brush with a friend who has 4 girls, all with long hair. She could NOT believe HOW quickly she got through all of the heads, using the paddle brush! She was absolutely giddy with the joy of freeing up a HALF hour in their bedtime schedule!  Woo Hoo! That is a huge amount of time in motherhood land!

The Wet Brush is great for everyone, no matter their age, and it can even be used on extensions and wigs! Once you try it, you'll want one for every member of the family, and for everywhere you need one! They even have 2 new designs, that are perfect for taking with you to the beach, pool and sandbar!

Miss Grace calls their new Squirt brush, their 'kid size' brush!

And it is! It fits her hands perfectly, giving her full coverage for brushing an amount of hair she can easily handle! It is great for kids with shorter hair as well! It's also perfect for taking in her dance bag and using on her hair after dance practice! It doesn't matter how I put it up, when we take it down to comb it out and restyle it for the rest of the day, it's tangled! I have yet to figure how that happens, but it does! The Squirt fits perfectly in the outer pocket of her dance bag, and is so light weight, you don't even know it's there!

Miss Grace's favorite brush though is the The Wet Pop - Pop Up Brush:

It is a palm sized brush, and the bristles 'pop' back into the base, making for a very compact brush, that can be kept in your purse, travel bag and beach bag! It works JUST like the bigger brushes!

It’s no mystery to Miss Grace and myself, and my friends, who have tried The Wet Brush, why Moms and kids, can’t live without their Wet Brush. Available in a variety of colors and patterns, there’s a Wet Brush for every personality in the familyIt’s available in most beauty stores and salons in the U.S. and more than 45 countries.

  12. Burdocks Burdocks and more Burdocks. If you have ever delt with them in your hair you will know how hard it is to get them out and reclaim your hair. That is IF you get them out and don't have to cut them out. It took a lot of patients and a very long time but I got them all out without having to cut them out which wasn't easy. Thanks again for chance.

  16. My worst tangled hair story was when I was in high school, one of my friends did these 'micro braids' in my hair...very very thin braids...like mini versions of Bo Derek's '10' hairdo. When it came time to take them out...omgoodess..with the texture of my hair...it was like rat's nest. I thought I was going to cry...AND my Dad actually helped me take them out...I can't believe he had the patience to do that...it was a catastrophe.

  20. I really can't remember tangling one but when I was about 4 or 5 I got chewing gum in my bangs and my mom couldn't get it out so she chopped them off to about 1/2 inch long! These brushes would not have helped then unfortunately.
