How's your Summer going?

Created some great memories yet?

We were recently sent a very unique book,
that is creating a great Summer 2014 time capsule for the entire family!

Me, You, Us cover

This is a creative space for you to share with your friends or a loved one. Just flip to a random page and use the prompts to jot down whatever silly thoughts or sweet memories pop into your brain.

Write fortune cookies to each other! Decide on your perfect theme song! Brainstorm ideas for your matching tattoos! You can fill out each page with a different friend, or complete the whole book with a special someone.

And the best part? Not only will you have fun getting playful together, you’ll also end up with an amazing time capsule to look back on!

We are taking one page every night and filling it out!  There are 192 pages, so we definitely have more than we need for Summer (!!), but Miss Grace is so enraptured with this book, that I know we'll finish it with many 'just one more Mom's over the next 2 months!

As you can see the prompts are pretty simple- who would you invite to your dream dinner, how do we spend our time together, what our basketball team would be (design a jersey!), things we do for one another, etc! While not necessarily aimed at parents/kids, there are ways to make it work. Miss Grace has taken GREAT delight in adding asides and cartoons to every page! As her Mom, it is a way to see how her mind works, especially her humor quotient! For instance the cartoon of our first day together! She took the stories we've all told her and come up with a great cartoon. Making it together was a delight and I love the time it gives us together! Bets part, years from now, we'll laugh over the simple drawings and wishes!

If you are looking for a way to add a great activity to your Summer, pick up this book today!

About the Author

Lisa says " When I was a kid my Dad would sometimes get out a pen and play dot-to-dot with the freckles on my nose. We thought this was pretty funny, until one day he accidentally used a permanent marker and I had to go to school the next day with a swan-shaped constellation on my right cheek. (no wonder I like her sarcasstic doodles!) My hometown is Melbourne (Australia), but right now I'm vagabonding around LA, New York, then London & beyond. " Her previous book, The Scribble Diary was a huge hit in our house too!
