The movie, Persecuted comes out tomorrow, the 18th,
and we were lucky to be able to read the book prior to it's release!

Synopsis:

The Question Is Not IF Attempts Will Be Made to Limit Religious Freedoms, But When

The most popular evangelist of his day, John Luther, simply wants to share the Gospel and enjoy a quiet life with his family. He never asked to be at the center of a political controversy, but an ill wind has been blowing through the halls of Congress, and supporters of a new religious-equality bill see Luther's endorsement as critical. But when Luther refuses to lend his support, he unknowingly sets in motion an explosive plan bent on destroying his reputation and undermining everything for which he stands. His once-normal life is turned upside down as he becomes a fugitive left with only one dangerous option--putting everything he holds most dear at risk while he fights to expose the truth. It is a mission that brings him face-to-face with the coming storm of persecution that could threaten the very fabric of our nation's freedoms.

Review:

As we sit by and watch our freedoms disappear we can only blame ourselves. When we are afraid to say anything to anyone for fear we will offend we have indeed lost our freedom of speech. This and many other freedoms we have are going by the wayside simply because we won’t speak up; we won’t support good and honest people in their efforts to run for office of any kind. This great and wonderful book “Persecuted” by Robin Parrish based on a Daniel Lusk film demonstrates that if you don’t speak up and fight for what you have you will indeed loose everything you have. Although based on fictional deeds and fictional characters one could only look at real life people and insert them into this book. John Luther a character in this story so vividly brought to life by our author will have you wanting to help him. John is framed with murder by an unknown man only called Mr. Gray. John is the leader of what is referred to as “Faith Ministries” and has a daily show on their television network. He is approached by a so called friend in a very high ranking position in Congress for support of a bill that will end freedom of Religion but refuses to do so. This is when everything that John loves including his family is threatened. Go with John as he fights to save everything he holds dear to him. His main goal is to preach the Gospel of our Lord and savior Jesus. He has many doubts along the way and recalls the many difficulties he had before he truly found Jesus. I urge all caring Americans to read this book and take it to heart. This country of ours needs the help of all of its citizens. God be with all of us.
