Synsopsis:

In the Arctic Ocean, the US Coast Guard icebreaker Terra Novabatters its way through the pack ice. There shouldn't be anyone near them for hundreds of miles. But then a lone skier, half-dead with cold, emerges out of the snow.
His name is Tom Anderson, and he is the only survivor of a disaster at Zodiac Station, a scientific research base deep in the Arctic Circle. He tells an incredible story of scientists and spies, of lust and greed, of jealousy, mayhem and murder. But his tale simply doesn't add up. Whose blood is smeared across his clothes? Why is there a bullet hole through the jacket he's wearing, and why is that jacket labelled with someone else's name?
It's clear that more was going on at Zodiac Station than Anderson is telling. And someone else may have survived the disaster, as well... someone who has killed before, and who is willing to kill again.

Review:

You may remember the author's name from our review of The Orpheus Descent! I was thrilled to be able to review this book, his next after that wonderful novel of Greece and mythology! This book s truly a ghost story within a mystery. It is such a page turner, that you will NOT be able to put it down! Harper is such a great narrator- he has you guessing the story is going one way, and then he throws a total red herring at you and the story goes down another path. And then suddenly all roads meet up in a climatic finish that will leave you breathless. This book will leave you wondering what happens to the remaining characters and what happens next! make this your definite Fall read!

Be sure to check out the author's 'Zodiac Station blog' website for some great pictures, that will really bring the book to life!
