Synopsis:
Former band director Michelle Schusterman ends her adorable series about middleschool band geeks with the perfect coda!
The band has been preparing for their big regional competition all year and it's time for all of their work to pay off. On top of preparing for competition, Holly is excited to go to the Spring Dance with Owen, but is he still interested after meeting a new girl at art camp over spring break? Holly and friends band together to have an amazing end to their seventh grade year.
About the Series:
There are 4 books in this light hearted series aimed at middle graders!
Book 1- I Heart Band-Holly Mead’s first day of seventh grade and having cometition in band
Book 2- Friends, Fugues, and Fortune Cookies- a band bake sale and the horrors of your friend/enemy getting asked to the dance by your crush
Book 3- Sleepovers, Solos, and Sheet Music- The band is off to New Orleans (!!!) for a competition and Holly's crush is now dating her friend.
This series would be a lovely back to school or Christmas gift set, for the younger band member, but kids ages 8-12 will all be able to relate to the issues of being a pre-teen!
