Our Christmas Meme doesn't OFFICIALLY started until October 1st (hence, the scary font above to tie in with Halloween! LOL), but I'm sneaking in some great ideas for kids this week, as the books/videos are being released this week, which means, usually great prices and perfect time to snag them and knock a few presents off the annual list!
Today, I have an adorable movie for you!
Next Tuesday, September 30, 2014, this adorable movie will be released on DVD and two-disc Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack (Blu-ray 3D and 2D, DVD and digital), exclusively at Walmart stores everywhere. It is also available onVOD already, and is playing at select theatres nationwide (see the list here)

The film tells the story of Thunder, an abandoned young cat who stumbles into a magical old mansion operated by a dazzling array of automatons and gizmos. THUNDER AND THE HOUSE OF MAGIC is written by James Flynn, Domonic Paris and Ben Stassen, and id based on an original story idea from Ben Stassen (Fly Me to the Moon, Sammy's Adventures: Escape from Paradise) The film is produced by Caroline Van Iseghem and Ben Stassen, executive produced by Olivier Courson and Eric Dillens, and features original music by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones). The 85-minute film is produced by nWave Pictures in association with Studiocanal and Anton Capital Entertainment.
THUNDER AND THE HOUSE OF MAGIC DVD packs all include a fun Making of the Soundtrack feature, that will delight the young musicians in your house! There is additional music in the film by the Cure (I know, hello!) and Selena Gomez (much to Miss Grace's Delight).
This is a very cute movie, and while it might not be a huge award winner, the animation is really cool from an adult perspective. There is a whole lot of attention to detail and the lighting, and the many small gizmos that Lawrence has made over the years to assist him, and be part of his magic act. Miss Grace was glued to the movie, and rooted for the madcap conglomerate to keep the house from being sold while Lawrence was in the hospital. It's a cute movie for family movie night and we highly recommend it!
