This handheld speaker works with ALL iPhones, iPods, iPads, MP3 players, CD players, Laptops, Tablets and Other Music Devices that have a 3.5mm audio socket, Android smartphones (HTC, All Droids, Samsung) and Blackberry Smartphones.
All you have to do is connect your device with the built in cable or the longer charging cable (16 inches). I have used in with my HTC phone, my Nexus tablet, Dell computers and even in the car. It has worked with every device I've tried it with!

The cords have an ATTACHED velcro band, so you can wrap them up tightly when not in use, and put them in your little carrying bag! I love that little touch! The rechargeable battery has a 2-hour quick charge and can ensure you're blasting sound at high volumes for up to 10 hours. So far, I haven't gone over 6 hours with it at any one time, but it has kept up it's GREAT sound the whole time.
Another nice feature is how the smaller 3.5 cord wraps around the bottom of the speaker itself, so it can easily be put out of the way, if that is the cord you are using!
It is super easy to use the speaker- you plug in your phone/device, then following the directions on the speaker itself and turn the top of the speaker clockwise and POP up comes your speaker (to put it away, just reverse the procedure!). Yup- you get FULL 360 degree sound with this little speaker! That also means you can put it anywhere you need to, and still be able to get full sound- no more propping up a speaker, or making sure it's clear of any obstructions!
The speaker is so easy to use- just press the colored bar and your speaker is on. Press the volume area to turn up or down the volume. Easy peasy! You might want to make sure your volume is turned down FYI when you first plug in this speaker- it has HUGE sound! I wasn't expecting it and Miss Grace and I both literally JUMPED when it boomed out!
That HUGE sound is a real bonus, when using my Nav App in the car! For some weird reason, the volume will not working with the car's Bluetooth on the Nav App (apparently I'm not alone on this- friend's tell me they have the same issue, so much for 'smart' cars), and the phone volume is not loud enough to really hear it, unless you're holding the phone, with typical road noises! But with this super little speaker, there is no issue! I just plug it into my phone, and then start the Nav App and place them both on the inset area (where the clock is) and we're good to go!
Best yet, the Kinivo ZX100 comes in not 1, but NINE fun colors, so you can them in your recipient's favorite color and end the "Mom, he has my speaker" argument! It is NOT a Bluetooth speaker, but for it's price you wouldn't expect it to be!
You can then take all the family speakers and daisy-chain them together, and have a SUPERB listening experience, perfect for outside parties or functions!
