3m Wall Patch Kit is YOUR Holiday Necessity!

Every home owner knows that tackling spruce up projects, especially those involving painting, can quickly rack up the cost, the time and the stress! It’s very easy to save tons of money by painting your home yourself, but most of us don’t know the right tools to use for patching and priming, BEFORE we start painting!

As you can see, I ended up using my kit on a plaster wall in Miss Grace's room, that had been a victim of the old house settling. and cracking, from a bad patch job by the previous owner (and yes, those are really really old lathe walls underneath!). Normally it would be used on drywall, but none of those walls had issues the patch would fit! But we had the problem in her room, and I knew it would work really well! And as you can see, it was VERY easy to do! I did end up going back after 30 minutes and sanding down the patch.

I then went back and applied another thin later of the primer. After 30 minutes and another light sanding, the wall was ready for paint. SUPER easy! And now there is no unslightly bump and crack, and the wall is back to being smooth! 

After you've fixed your patch, it can be painted after 30 minutes! Super fast dry time is amazing! The new  ScotchBlue™ Multi-Surface and Delicate Surface tapes are perfect for sharper paint lines, as they now have an Advanced Edge-Lock™  Paint Line Protector, making it easy for you to paint your walls without worrying about uneven paint lines! I was planning on painting the patch, but then Miss Grace nicely reminded me that I had promised her she could paint that wall PINK (no,it wasn't your imagination-her walls are a pink tinged lavender now, the same color as they were for her nursery). So we opted to hold off painting the patch, and just painting the entire wall (which will be a November project for us!). We'll definitely be using the new surface tapes to keep the white trim free of the bright pink!
