I know you started scratching your head and wondering while a home repair kit is a Christmas/holiday season item, right??/
Answer this question- how many relatives and friends will be descending upon your home this week through the New Year? And how many home repair projects have you been putting off til cooler weather?
Yup.
3m is coming to your rescue!
Every home owner knows that tackling spruce up projects, especially those involving painting, can quickly rack up the cost, the time and the stress! It’s very easy to save tons of money by painting your home yourself, but most of us don’t know the right tools to use for patching and priming, BEFORE we start painting!
Enter 3M Patch Plus Primer; a cost-effective and efficient way to prepare your walls for painting with an all-in-one kit that includes everything you need. I was recently sent a pack, along with painter's tape, to check out! the Wall patch kit includes the primer, a four-inch self-adhesive patch, a 3" putty knife, and a sanding pad.
3M’s revolutionary Patch plus primer requires NO need to prime your wall before using it! You literally just place your patch, and then apply the patch over it. Easy Peasy!
As you can see, I ended up using my kit on a plaster wall in Miss Grace's room, that had been a victim of the old house settling. and cracking, from a bad patch job by the previous owner (and yes, those are really really old lathe walls underneath!). Normally it would be used on drywall, but none of those walls had issues the patch would fit! But we had the problem in her room, and I knew it would work really well! And as you can see, it was VERY easy to do! I did end up going back after 30 minutes and sanding down the patch.
I then went back and applied another thin later of the primer. After 30 minutes and another light sanding, the wall was ready for paint. SUPER easy! And now there is no unslightly bump and crack, and the wall is back to being smooth!
The good news is though that with the help of 3M Patch Plus Primer and ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tape, and some VERY quick drying paint, we can have that project knocked out in one day, and be able to update her room into that for a modern 8 yr old (shudder- WHERE did the time go?).And now you too can feel comfortable preparing and painting your problem walls, this holiday season, quickly and easily, for mere pennies!
So check out these new 3m products and your house will be happy you did!
I love 3M products! I have never had an issue with any of them as far as how they work. They always work quick and easy. Though I wouldn't want to start any kind of repair work around the holidays, I could handle this using the tape.
