Review:
This new book is part of the Healthy Kitchen series from Parragon Books and Love Food (I'll be reviewing another volume, the Clean-Eating Kitchen, next Friday). This book covers Breakfast, Lunches and Snacks, Dinner (Main Dishes), and Desserts, 50 recipes in all. Every recipe is accompanied by a full page color picture-something all cooks LOVE to see!
It is a greater starter book, to get you on your way to seeing how you can substitute, or use other ingredients, and avoid the unnecessary sugar and fructose in your diets. We are constantly barraged with new food products and they seem great, until you read the labels and realize just about all of them have unnecessary sugar. This cookbook gives you easy prep and wonderful tasting foods, that anyone can cook. You can skip the packaged foods and have a quality meal in almost the same amount of time! I recommend it as a great way to get your family's diet healthier, and for holiday gift giving!
Here's a great recipe that you can use to get more veggies into your kids diet, while they're enjoying a sweet treat. It's also a great recipe to use for the holidays, to help keep your diet healthy and balanced!
