Have you seen the world's SMALLEST radio controlled helicopter?
We recently got to!
(Note; the turning has been improved since the video above was made)
This is definitely an inside toy, due to it's size, but it would allow the kids to torment the cat and dog (and siblings) with! The Nano comes in 3 different color combinations, so you can select the one your child would like best. I think this is a great entry model RC for the younger set (under 9), as it allows them to get used to a smaller controller, but the helicopter itself is pretty durable. Add to that about 10 minutes of fly time and 20 minutes of charging, and it's something they can literally play with all day long. And I love that the transmitter is also the charger, as it means you don't have to go looking for the charger among all the other ones you have in the house (you know you have a drawer full of them!).
And the all important battery/charger info:
Helicopter: Built-in Li-Poly rechargeable battery pack (included, shown above)
Transmitter: 4 x "AA" size batteries required (not included)
This is a fun toy and one that any child on your holiday gift buying list would adore! It's also a great way to get the kids away from the tv, and into some family time, if you have multiple Nanos and race them! We highly recommend it!
Smaller than 82mm and weighings less than 11g, this 3 channel indoor helicopter can still fly up and down; forward and backward; left and right.
And it is certifiably TINY. It really is IN the Guinness Book of Records! Look:

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
But this RC Helicopter is more than a trinket! It has a built-in Gyro Stabilizer to make flying easier, while the precise variable speed rotor delivers excellent flying control. Pre-selected tri band system makes for easy directing and the Slim design transmitter/charger is easy to hold, especially for younger kids..
Check out a video of the Nano in action, by someone who KNOW RC toys
(as I am new to them, so have nothing to compare it to:
