God Made You Special cover

Synopsis:

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
Matthew 5:8
In this newest 8x8 softcover title in the Berenstain Bears Living Lights collection, the Bruins join the Bear family for a cookout and bring their cousin Tommy along. It isn’t long before the cubs start up a game of baseball and Sister soon notices that Tommy doesn’t play like the rest of the group. When Sister asks about Tommy, Mama takes the opportunity to talk to Sister about how God makes each of us unique in our own way. And that we all have special gifts and talents to share with the folks around us.

Review;
This new book is part of the 12 book Berenstain Bears Living Lights collection series from Zondervan Publishing. The new collection is more Christian based and starts with a bible verse and then tells a story that bring the verse to life for kids. I have always taught Miss Grace not to judge someone without getting to know them, and she has become a champion for the 'underdogs'. As a mother, I am thrilled to see her playing with kids that are misunderstood by their peers, or trying to keep them from being bullied at school. This story was a wonderful example, and is perfect for many discussions afterwards. It is also suitable for Sunday school classes!

About the Author:
Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents, Stan and Jan, working together to write and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too.
