Tis' the season for gift giving, and with all the family and friends in your life, you usually end up with a few people that are really hard to buy for. What do you get for the person who seemingly has everything? Sometime the gifts that are the most fun to give are the ones that you piece together yourself, like custom gift baskets.

This year, instead of showering your friends with gifts in baskets that will likely just collect dust and then go to charity, why not a create a more practical version and arrange your gifts in a shower caddy? And these gift ideas don't have to contain strictly bath products. With a little creativity, you'll find that shower caddies have a number of great uses around the house. Here are a few ideas to get your motors running.

Christmas Gift Basket

A shower caddy is the perfect vehicle for a beauty product and pampering basket. You can include items like face masks, nail polish, and aromatherapy bath salts. For Christmas, a nice holiday touch like cranberry or spice-scented lotions make great gifts, as well. Transforming a shower caddy into a wall-hanging spice rack or wine rack is another creative way to give a practical gift.

Year-Round Gift Basket

There are so many occasions throughout the year when gift baskets are appropriate. You could compile a mobile shower caddy filled with dorm essentials for sending off to a college freshman, or fill it with simple tools and house cleaners as a housewarming present. And, of course, let's not forget birthday and hostess presents, as well as baby shower gift baskets filled with baby shampoos, washes, lotions and bath toys.

Shower Caddy Spice Rack

When you think outside of the box, you'll find that shower caddies have a ton of household uses. If you know someone who loves to cook, but maybe needs a little organizational or space-saving help, a shower caddy converted into a wall hanging spice rack is the perfect gift. Not only does it save a ton of counter space, but it saves you the time of hunting through cabinets and drawers in search of rogue spices when you're cooking.

Shower Caddy Wine Rack
Along the same lines of the spice rack, shower caddies can also function as wine racks. The trick here is to use a metal caddy with a decorative and attractive finish like oil-rubbed bronze that goes with the recipient's décor. They can place bottles in it upright and hang wine glasses and corkscrews upside down from the hooks at the bottom.

Craft Hanger
How many times have you torn through your craft closet in search of pinking shears or Scotch tape only to come up frustrated and empty handed? If you like to get crafty or have any craft fanatics in your life, you know how messy simple projects can become. A great solution to this problem is to turn an ordinary shower caddy into a wall-mounted craft center. This will keep all your tools, gift wraps and craft accoutrements organized!

These are just a few recommendations for gift giving this year. What unique gift basket ideas are you using this Christmas and beyond?
