UGH, the 26th is this week.
Are you ready for the internet as you know, and love, to be over with?
If you don't TAKE ACTION today, tomorrow and Wednesday, the days of pure Freedom of Speech will be ending, as will your ability to get CHEAP internet service.
Free Wi-Fi at restaurant's? Nope, that will be a thing in the past, when business see their bills,
What am I talking about?
If you haven't heard (which is possible, as mainstream media could care less about what affects the internet, as they're already part of the government system), there is a FCC/FTC vote on February 26 to allow the GOVERNMENT to have TOTAL control of the internet.
Think about that for a moment.
Now think about how in China they can't access Facebook and Twitter every 5 minutues like you can. In fact, they can't. Their government controls their internet.
If that doesn't scare you, then think about what the government can mandate with it's control of the internet.
Who uses the internet the most.
Yup, the middle class.
No new taxes? No problem, we control the internet, let's just set new regulatory fees and pass it on to the companies to you pay for internet usage.
Think your cell and TV bills are high? Wait til you see what happens when regulatory fees jump up on internet access. ALL THREE will increase drastically. There will be no FREE enterprise, as all the companies will be hit with the same fees and costs and will HAVE to pass it on to their customers. PERIOD. And the government will literally make BILLIONS from people already struggling to pay bills thanks to government takeover of the medical insurance system.
That Free Wi-Fi access? Nope, you'll get charged, probably at 99 cents to 1.99 per usage, so businesses can recover their costs.
THAT is the true nature of the government takeover. It is not to 'keep things running smoothly''. It is a way to take control, now that so many people are abandoning traditional services like land line (home phone) and cable/satellite TV- which are all highly regulated. Where have all the customers gone? Yup, internet streaming. Which for now is affordable, if not free. After the government internet takeover? No longer free.
All you have to do is look at what happened to your phone, cell and TV bills after government regulation and takeover. I went back and looked at all three of mine. Does a 500% increase and decreased services sound crazy? Guess what, that is what HAS happened.
Now add in medical insurance that costs a fortune to get, to use and high costs of meds, and it is no wonder that the American economy is floundering as the middle class is being taken to the cleaners.
What can you do to fight this?
CALL your senators and reps and COMPLAIN,
tell them to JUST VOTE NO!!!
BE loud and keep the internet as it was MEANT to be, FREE of regulation and control, the literal LAST bastion of freedom of expression, and challenge to your pocketbook!
