Staying with our food theme for the day- I have another great product for you!

Looks weird doesn't it?

But these little pieces of dried super fruit, Garcinia indica, from Sant make the a super healthy, tasty beverage for you and your kids!

The fruit starts out like this:

sant super fruit raw

The fruit has been used in Indian Ayuervedic medicine for thousands of years,  to prevent & treat illnesses and to balance the mind & body. It has Garcinol, HCA, xanthones; vitamins B1, B3, B9, B12, C; maganese, magnesium, and potassium and 5x more antioxidants than Kale. It is purported to help promotes digestion, regulate sleep and mood, increase muscle tone, help you manage your weight, strengthen yur heart, stabilize cholesterol levels, cleanse your skin, decrease inflammation, and even neutralize ph levels! WOW, that IS a super fruit!

The fruit is grown organically in India by small-scale farmers, in a direct-trade arrangement with Sant, who then ship the fruit directly to Sant, where it is processed and dried and becomes your future drink influser! You get 20-50 servings per container. Possibly more. It all depends on how many fruits you use each time, whether you resuse them, and how long they last for you. Typically you can keep reusing them (budget saver!) until the fruit looses its color. The dried fruit itself is good a year.

You simply grab some of the super fruit, put it in your infuser, or in your container, and add water.

As you can see your water will immediately start taking on some color and flavor. the longer you let it sit, the more intense the color and flavor will be. Typically I let mine sit for about 4 hours for a stronger flavor, and use about 4 pieces of the fruit, for the very tall water bottle (about 32 oz).  This DOES make the flavor VERY strong.

I have come up with 2 different ways we enjoy Sant- First- Make as described above and then after I remove the fruit, I add HALF a packet (1/4 tsp) of Monk Fruit Sugar. This helps take the edge off the super fruit, but doesn't really sweeten the taste, just leaves it more like flavored water. Secondly- I take half iced tea and half water and process like above, with the added sugar. This is Miss Grace's favorite way to drink it.You can check out the Sant website for more recipes and ways to use the super fruit!

I can't really tell you about health benefits, as most are not what you can see. BUT I will tell you the first 2 times I drank it just with the water, it was almost liek a mild cleanse and the next day I felt like I had lost 7 pounds from water loss (which may have been from inflammation going away). Since keeping up with it, the inflammation still seems to being kept at bay and I'm having less stomach issues. Again,it worked this way for me, but may not have the same effect for you.

Typically your infused water will last in the fridge for about a week. You CAN eat the dried fruit, if you want to also. But is very strong, and I would only recommend putting it in sweetened oatmeal or yogurt!  For those who need to know/are counting points, the fruit contains:  Calories 5, Fat 0g, Cholesterol 0mg, Sodium 1mg, Total Carbohydrates 4g, Sugars 3g, Protein 0g (Per 16 oz)

We LOVE this new product and you will too once you try it!
