And now for a new 'toy' that is not only fun, but educational!

Kids will be over the moon for the space themed version of Techno Gears Marble Mania Galaxy 2.0! An automatic marble launcher sends marbles flying into the tracks' twists and turns. Glow in the dark components, blinking lights and fun space-like sound effects add to the fun children can have when assembling this marble run, which includes more than 400 pieces!

We were thrilled to get in this new fun toy that combines fun and STEM learning- your kids not only have gravity principles to work on, they have logic and reasoning, AND a fun galaxy to make!

This is a VERY heavy box when you get it- almost 10 pounds! As you can see Miss Grace was over thrilled when she opened the box and saw what it was! And then you open the box, the adults will be groaning. Think Barbie Dream House times 2, there are SO many parts! My best suggestion is larger plastic food containers or small boxes, ESPECIALLY for younger kids. The kit is aimed at kids 8-15, but the 8 yr olds will need some help, if making by themselves. As you open up bags, place them in the boxes and put some sort of mark on it, showing which part number it is. This is really important as those blue support pieces come in 5 different sizes, and 2 are almost the same size!

I have to say I was REALLY impressed with the instruction book that comes with the kit- it is VERY clear and concise- showing each step in FULL color, showing the part numbers and which order to put them in. BUT, there are no actual "instructions'. Just the diagrams, and that can lead to a bit of confusion on the base steps. So adults might want to monitor those sections carefully.

Also be sure to have the required (for the sounds)  three "AA" batteries (not included, the mini cell batteries for the flashing lights are already installed)) ready, as they need to go on the marble shooter, which is on the bottom of the 'galazy', and part of the support base. Naturally the battery chamber is on the -say it with me- bottom of the piece. So make life easier for everybody and add the batteries to the shooter piece before the kids get started!

I'd show you pictures of the completed Galaxy, but we had not one, but two, massive destructive flybys by this evil villain:
Techno Gears Marble Mania Galaxy 2.0 night pix

before I could get a picture, of said completed Galaxy, AND you REALLY didn't want to see a picture of the pieces all over the floor and the kid screaming her head off. She learned her lesson the second time and called me as she was putting the last piece on, but before I could focus, the villain struck with a flying leap from the chair and the kids reaction was NOT pretty. I think the villain hit from her for 5 hours....SIGH....Lesson learned, the flying marbles FASCINATE cats, so you may want to keep them out of the room the Galaxy is in...

SO let me show you a video of the kit in action:

Pretty cool isn't it?

And check out a pix of the glow in the dark:

I could not get the room dark enough to try to get a decent pix of ours. SIGH.

This is a super fun kit, it will keep the kids busy for 1-2 days (seriously) putting it together, and they will love playing with it after they do. The best part is that after they start to get bored with the current setup, they can take it APART, and come up with numerous other paths and orbits for their marbles! It is a game that keeps on teaching, and you have to love that!

We highly recommend this kit for family fun!
