Today I have an amazing album to share with you,
that releases TOMORROW!

let it be jesus cover

Recorded live at Passion City Church in Atlanta, GA, this is the first ever live album from Christy! It is an intimate concert, attended by only 350 of the church's volunteers (what a great reward for them to be part of this event!). It features a blend of old and new worship songs, along with a new recording of 'Let It Be Jesus.' originally they recorded 14 songs, but chose to stick with the 12 strongest tracks, to give a more concise offering for listeners (the missing 2 tracks may be featured on her next cd!). The cd marks 20 years of ministry for Christy and her husband, and includes songs you may know and others you don't!

Track Listing:

1. Freedom Song
2. My Anchor
3. Everything is Mine in You
4. The Wonderous Cross
5. Let It Be Jesus
6. Who Can Compare
7. Jesus, Rock of Ages
8. If You Never
9. Leaning On You, Jesus
10. Find Me At the Feet of Jesus
11. Wonderful Name

Review:

You know an album is going to be amazing when you put it in the cd player in the car and by the end of the first song, you hear joyous singing along from the backseat, as the 8 yr gets into the song! I had to smile as the singing continued. By track 6 when I asked her what her favorite song was, she couldn't decide between The Wonderous Cross and Let It Be Jesus. By the end of the cd, Leaning on You, Jesus and Wonderful Name had been added to that list. I had to laugh at her seriousness on being unable to choose a favorite, as I had the same problem! This is a glorious cd- so uplifting and strong in our faith! While the songs are modern worship songs in beat and tempo, the lyrics could be from tried and true hymns. Christy says that she writes worship songs that really help you to meditate on scripture and I think she is right, as her songs do make you think of related scripture passages and how they apply to your life! This is an amazing album and I hope all of you get a chance to listen, and take to heart all the lyrics!

Christy will not be doing a Spring tour, but will be at women's conferences and similar events, but they may put together a Fall tour! This cd would make a glorious Mother's Day present!

About Christy:

As a worship leader for many years, she has been an integral part of Passion Conferences from its inception in 1997.  She's seen first hand music sweep people into the presence of God in a powerful way. A pastor’s kid, who was born in Fort Worth and raised in Oklahoma, she grew up singing in church. She met her husband, Nathan, in 1993 at the Christian Artists Seminar in Estes Park, Co. They recorded an independent record with fellow worship leader Charlie Hall under the name Sons & Daughters that led to an invitation from Louie Giglio to participate in the first Passion conference in Austin. Christy’s voice gained a national platform when she and Nathan formed the duo Watermark, recording four acclaimed albums before that musical season ended, paving the way for Christy’s solo career. In 2008, the couple moved to Atlanta to become part of Passion City Church where she serves on the worship team with sixstepsrecords label mates Chris Tomlin and Kristian Stanfill. The following year, Nockels released her acclaimed solo debut, Life Light Up and spent much of the next two years touring with Tomlin and Passion.
