We were recently asked to review not 1, but 2, new Christian music cds, and Miss Grace was beside herself when she saw this one come in, as Plumb is one of her favorite singers ("I want her voice when I grow up") and mine!

EXHALE, the seventh studio album from acclaimed multi-genre singer, songwriter and author PLUMB, expresses a new focus and vision. After the runaway success of NEED YOU NOW (the album, title track and book), which coincided with her own moving story of brokenness and ultimately healing, Exhale brims with worshipful songs of gratitude and hope.

The defining concept of EXHALE was born from a sermon at Plumb’s home church, wherein her pastor Pete Wilson expressed the notion that the Church doesn’t exist for itself. Rather, believers come to church to breathe in grace and truth, be changed, and then go out and “exhale” that hope into their surrounding community.

“That idea of exhaling hope hit me right away and I couldn’t get to the Notes section on my phone fast enough. I started writing the chorus of Exhale right then and there,” explains Plumb. “I have been made new by the ultimate hope, and I want to share and exhale that hope in everyway I can.”

Review:
This is one of those cds that you put in and find yourself humming along with immediately and then hear the kids singing along with from the backseat. Teens especially will love this new cd, with it's wide variance of styles (electronica on My True Love!), Plumb is not a 'worship' singer, so much as she happens to sing about Christian and biblical topics. her take on Great is our God however, will give you goosebumps, and is suitable for worship). This album really showcases that talent, in reaching out to the different genres of music, and yet staying with the theme of grace and God's truth. Her music is so accessible, that those who don't think they ever would sing a "Christian" song, find themselves singing along! From Exhale to Restored, teens especially will be uplifted and feel a sense of confidence and delight in their faith! the cd also reminds them that God will ALWAYS be there for them, even if friends and family aren't, and that God will forgive them (Miss Grce adored Resurrection with its trust in God's forgiveness for all). The cd is one for mothers and daughters to SHARE, and to be able to open up about how God's grace is so needed and realiable during the dramatic teen years and beyond! We can't recommend this cd enough!
