Synopsis:

Maia watched for more than a millennia, waiting for a second chance at life on Earth. A hot, unforgiving desert greets her upon arrival, but her surroundings aren't her only problem. In human form, fleeting memories of a past life haunt her. Will she be whole when she rediscovers who she is, or will the reality of her existence require she make yet another sacrifice?

Review:

This is a very short story/novella (only about 40 pages) that will grab you from page one until you finish the last page, stunned, because you didn't anticipate the last chapter, or the story ending so quickly! Rather the reader might moan out load and cry out to the author for those missing chapters, and a full fledged book, telling Mai's and Jaren's tale.It is left to the reader to surmise what happened after the 'stars aligned' for them, and Delphini came to me. It is a wonderful take on the Greek stories, adding to the statement 'myth based on fact', and giving it a bit of a sci-fi twist. if you like your sci-fi on the interesting light side, you'll LOVE this story! Even if you aren't a sci-fi fan, this tale with enchant you, so don't miss it this Summer!
