Synopsis:

Detective Sean Corrigan’s dark past has given him the ability to step into a crime scene and see it through the eyes of the offender...but when children begin disappearing from their homes with no signs of struggle, he’s eluded by THE TOY TAKER...the third book in the chilling London-based thriller series from former murder-squad detective Luke Delaney.

Your child has been taken…

Snatched in the dead of night from the safety of the family home. There’s no sign of forced entry, no sign of struggle, and no one heard or saw a thing.

DI Sean Corrigan needs to find four-year-old George Bridgeman before abduction becomes murder. But his ability to see into dark minds, to think like those he hunts, has deserted him – just when he needs it most.

As he investigates, another child vanishes -- and still no trace. What kind of monster is Corrigan hunting? And will he work it out in time to save the children?

Review:

This latest installment of the DI Sean Corrigan series has him and his team twiddling their proverbial thumbs, while waiting for major crimes in their patch of London. But little does he know that the Met has taken notice of his success rate. Soon his team is transferred to Scotland Yard and given the whole of London as their baliwick. And now they are the Special Investigations Unit, meaning they take any and all'special' crimes.

Their new case seems unsolvable, there are no clues and Sean can't get in the head of the suspect. But then they find a suspect, or do they? This book is a roller coaster ride, as the team's case load increases, they come under public and internal scrutiny, and Sean fights to solve an unsolveable crime. If you love British police procedurals, you will adore this series for its smart writing, deftly written plots and great characters! Don't miss this one!
