Review:

This is a great book for pre-teens and teens, and would make a super birthday, first day of school, or Christmas gift (171 days left in case you were wondering! LOL, don't pass out on me!). My only pet peeve with the book is that there is no index, just the contents page, and that the ideas are NOT in alphabetical order, so if you are looking for something in particular, it is harder to find. The ideas are NOT listed in any order in fact, like a Top 10, then the rest, so that can be a little odd to a parent. In fact, the book starts off with Shop the Thrift Store Like a ProThe ideas include cooking, crafting, decorating, budgeting, studying, home making and friendship, in essence, the basic things that all teens should know.

I was really thankful to see simple things like writing thank you notes, embrace the 'Geek' side, speaking up, being more independent and how to forgive yourself. these things should be taught to every child, but unfortunately in today's society, they are taught less and less. The book contains religious thoughts, like in the Body Conscious idea below, but they are not overtly done, making this book an easy access for ANY teen.

Overall, this is an excellent book to give to your daughter, for her to refer back to in times of need, and it also allows for some great parent-child conversation starters. It would also be a great topic selector /aide for teen bible study classes. We can't recommend it enough!

Bonus:
Be sure to have your girls check out the Blogs section of the Faithgirlz! website, for more great crafting, cooking and club ideas!
