I know it seems like I just recently reviewed one of the When Calls the Hearts Season 2 DVDs for this past season (and I did!), but I HAD to share this one asap, as it is the season finale, that is now available on DVD!

When Calls the Heart-Follow Your Heart cover

DVD Synopsis:

While Jack and Elizabeth’s relationship has cooled following their arguments in Hamilton, Jack is hot on the trail of a counterfeiter right in Hope Valley! When he finds the culprit, a two-fisted brawl ensues as Jack apprehends the man. Seeing Jack in danger prompts Elizabeth to confront her feelings and seek him out… but she inadvertently sets Rip, Jack’s dog, loose at the same time. As a violent storm bears down on Hope Valley, Jack and Elizabeth search for Rip and take shelter in an old mineshaft together. But the storm won’t be escaped so easily, and the unstable shaft begins to collapse…

Review:

This finale was all the more dramatic for Hearties (When Calls the Heart fans), as no third season had been announced when it aired and for months after, everyone was kept in suspense, us included! There is plenty of drama and questions in this last episode to make you hunger for the next installment, and it is great to see many of the story arcs from the season winding up, or evolving in this episode. There is a maturity for many of the characters, as they realize who they truly love, and take steps to be with them. But there is plenty of suspense and questions yet to be answered. For the fan of this show, this was one of the best episodes of the season!

For the fan, this DVD will help tide them over until the 3rd season premier. Even better, how about giving the whole season 2 set as an early Christmas gift, before the 3rd season premiers? With this great family show, you can't go wrong!
