For our final Tommy Nelson giveaway for the year, I have a lovely PAIR of books
from Max Lucado, that both focus on Grace!
Grace is: God’s best idea:
More than we deserve … And greater than we imagine.
For such a small book, Grace for the Moment has had a major impact on countless lives. Each daily reading features devotional writings from Max Lucado's numerous bestsellers, as well as a Scripture verse, selected especially for that day's reading. With more than 2,500,000 copies sold, this devotional continues to touch lives as it emphasizes the help and hope of God in everyday moments. This new classic is available in hardcover as well as in both green and burgundy eurobond leather.
This is a lovely little book to give to a hostess, a best friend, or secret Santa gift. It has wonderful words of wisdom, and thoughts on grace that really sink home and make you THINK.
In this sample, which I thought was timely, Max reminds us that each day we take steps to avoid dying, yet it is inevitable and to looked forward as a time to feel no pain, and to meet God in heaven, While each day is dated, you could easily look for a topic that you need for the day to bring you words of wisdom and peace.
This is a lovely book to give to elementary to pre-teen age kids. Not only does it encourage reading, it encourages family time, to talk about the day's reading together. It offers great advise for kids facing school and family troubles, and helps to remind kids that God is always there for them, and will be. That is something that most kids forget as they get older- that his grace is ALWAYS there for us! Also included each day is a relevant bible quote.
The activities are simple, and are really great to get your child to think about God's grace and about their faith as well.
Together, these 2 books would be a great family hostess gift, or for family presents for friends, and we can't recommend them enough!
