Every year we enjoy making a traditional gingerbread house.

This year we decorated some wonder Walker's Shortbread Festive Shapes Cookies and Mini Festive StarsShapes, to our house to make it extra special!

We also had icing, candies, peppermint sprinkles, sprinkles and fairy dust sprinkles at hand!

As you can see you get 4 different shapes in the Festive Shapes pack, with 3 of each. There are also larger boxes of the same designs available.

As you can see, the Mini Festival Stars has a peel down front, making for quick and easy snacking on the way home from caroling, or for traveling to Grandma's house this Christmas!

As you can see, Miss Grace had fun decorating her Santas, Stars, Bells and Tree shapes!

She didn't get too crazy this year!! LOL, she saved that for the house!

Yup!

The Mini Stars became the walkway to the house, and the top signals for Santa, to know which house to land on!

The trees made it onto the scene, as did one of the Santas!

Naturally there was a few less cookies than we started with, as "they are just too yummy looking to let them not get eaten" said the kid! So they did!

This was  fun activity and a great way to spend some quality holiday time with Miss Grace. A similar basket with Walkers Shortbread Festive shapes and decorating helpers, would be an adorable gift basket for those with kids, who will get bored on Christmas break, or as a lovely hostess gift! It would also be a great thing to put out at the kids table to let them decorate cookies, while waiting for the big meal Christmas day!

Nobody beats the yummy goodness of Walker's Shortbread cookies!
EVERYONE loves them!

So don't forget them this holiday season!

And stay tuned later today,  for some finished pictures of our gingerbread house, and more fun from Walker's Shortbread!
